To provide the best care for their patients, care managers might need additional information quickly not captured in traditional fields in a patient record. Having additional context about a patient gives the care managers more insights in how to care and communicate with those patients. It might include call preferences, notes about how to talk with patients, context about their home environment, about their history, who lives with them or any number of other things. Some of this information may not easily be captured in a patient's record nor precisely medical in nature.
Prosper Care includes the ability to add 'quick notes' and assign a preferred name.
Quick notes will be visible to (and be managed by) anyone who has access to that patient. However, quick notes are not included in any reports that get generated (e.g. monthly summaries, escalation reports, etc.)
Let's find out how to do this.
1. Choose a patient from the Patient List
2. Click "Add quick note"
3. Type in some text (e.g. "Call Landline"). See the quick note appears below the patient name.
4. To add additional notes, click the (+) button.
5. Enter another note by clicking the '+' button (e.g. "Lives with spouse")
6. Clicking the X button on a note allows you to delete a note. A confirmation appears. Click 'Delete' to delete the note.
7. To update a note, double-click one of the existing Quick Notes and enter the change.
8. Prosper Care also supports using a preferred name. This would be a name used in communication. To set a preferred name ,click the "Demographics Tab"
9. Click the "Preferred Name" field.
11. Type a value (e.g. "Frank") and press return.
12. Note that the new preferred name immediately appears in parenthesis after the patient's full name.
That's it. If you have any questions reach out to your client success manager or email us at support@myvetahealth.com
